The Little Smokies

Our final road trip of 2021 was to Nashville, IN. We stayed for 3 nights at Brown County State Park, also known as The Little Smokies.

We spent a lot of time on the bikes, of course. Below are some of the highlights:

Getting ready to hop on Pine Loop

And....stopping to catch our breath on Pine Loop

    North Lookout Tower

                                    Voigts Bros!

Getting ready to hop on the Walnut Trail & hitting a wood bridge feature!
Hitting the berm on Hesitation Trail

Hanging out after lunch at Ogle Lake

Our favorite trail was Lime Kiln; they actually had the grand opening of the 2nd 1/2 of this trail while we were there. The HMBA (Hoosier Mounting Bike Association), who creates & maintains the trails in the park, had their "Epic" ride event this weekend as well. I was nervous the trails would be over crowded, but it still felt like we had the place (mostly) to ourselves.  And mountain bikers are super friendly!!!! They really love sharing the sport, and seeing young riders enjoying the trails.

A couple of maps showing the park/trails:

Cute faces peeking out of Hoosier's Nest!

Weedpatch Vista-what a view!

We also visited the downtown Nashville for pizza, fudge, ice cream and bike shop shopping!

That wraps up our travels for 2021, but if you guessed that we've already started planning for 2022, you wouldn't be wrong! You can tell from the smiles, we are loving our camper life!
