The Voigts family is crazy for Crazyhorse

 

I usually start out the blog about our Voigts Family camping trip with the traditional group shot of all of us smiling, and then end the blog with the picture of all of us posing crazy. But since we went to Crazy Horse campground in Brodhead, WI it made sense to show you our crazy side first!  But usually, as the pictures below prove, we are just a normal family; living the camping life & loving it!

Back in time, with Yogi

I don’t have a lot of memories of family vacations from my childhood.  But I do remember camping at Jellystone in Caledonia WI. So when friends of ours suggested a group camping trip to the same place, I was excited. This place is not your traditional camping with nothing to do in the woods but sit around the campfire, but has swimming pools with water slides, playgrounds with jumping pillows, fishing pond, mini golf, arcade, and (newly added) man-made beach with inflatable obstacle course and ropes course. 4 families went but none of them except us have “big” kids so for the first time we let James and Liam each bring a friend. I hope they created memories that they will be able to look back on as adults too...and just maybe one day they will take their kids camping at Jellystone!
