Bentonville Take 2

We headed to Bentonville, AR again for Spring break 2022. We spent Frida night in Bloomington visiting my college friend and her son and then drove the rest of the way Saturday. We decided to make up for last time and get our wood fire pizza and Trash ice cream after we set up camp.

On Sunday we rode some new trails, which were just outside our campground in Bella Vista, the wonderland trails. We got to check out a new oz trails installation:

The boys then rode one of our good ol' favs: Leopards loop which they approached from Apple Creek and Tristan’s trail (to the Oz wall). Afterwards they check out Park springs park.

In the evening we went to Wolf pup park, and Gavin was able to ride his 2 wheeler this time (last year he used the balance bike).

On Monday, Alex and Liam rented Specialized Stump Jumpers from Gearhead bicycle shop . We all currently have hard tails and they wanted to check out full suspension. We went to Coler Mountain Preserve and spent time riding together and separately. Of course they loved the bikes, and have been negotiating ever since to purchase new bikes.

On Tuesday we rode through much of the Slaughter pen trail including All American, Catapult, and  Crystal bridges/art trail. We got to check out a few new/improved trails, where they are building what will be an awesome Castle themed Hub.
Alex was sick back at the camper so it was just me and the boys.

On Wednesday I went down for the count (caring is sharing), so Alex took the boys to Crystal bridges Museum for a lesson in art.

On Thursday we tried to visit one of our favorites from last time: Runway Bike Park, but the weather was not really cooperating. So we headed over to downtown Bentonville and walked thru the Walmart museum.

On Friday morning before heading out the weather was much nicer, but the trails were a little soft. We did any repeats that we could, including All American, black apple to leopards loop, masterpiece and schroenn train. Then we hitched our trailer and headed home.

We stayed in St. Louis for Friday and Sat night, because on Saturday we went to the City Museum. it was our second time (except Gavin-it was his first) and we always have an awesome time.

At this time, we have decided that we may make Bentonville an every other year destination. It really has something for all of us!
