Part I

Day 1: Tues May 25: Longest school year ever ends, and vacation begins!
First stop: Bloomington, IL -Camper parking accommodations by Kelly & Maverick. The Kelly's are re-united and the boys are so happy to see their friend too!


Day 2: Our longest day of driving for the whole trip. Get 'er done and Get your kicks on Rt 66 driving to Oklahoma City! Twin Fountains RV "Resort":

Day 3: On the way to New Mexico we stopped at Cadillac Ranch to make our mark:

Camper accommodations in Albuquerque at Enchanted Trails RV Park:

Day 4: Friday May 28 (in case you are keeping track) we head to AZ via the Petrified National Forest.

And then a very welcoming welcome to Gold Canyon, where the camper parking is picturesque with Dinosaur Mountain in the background and the accommodations are 5-star with Aunt Karen!


Yes, the kids did go immediately into Aunt Karen's pool. But behaved well-enough to get out and share a wonderful dinner with our dear family!

The next morning we were up bright and early, and so was our hostess, so we took a walk through her beautiful neighborhood, before it got toooooo hooooot to do anything else but be in THE POOL.  
ALL DAY!!!

On Sunday we said our farewells and continued our trip, stopping at Montezuma's Castle on the way:
