4th of July in Michigan(&other fun times)

For the long weekend before the 4th of July, our family decided to explore a new state park in Michigan. On the way we stopped in Kalmazoo at Maple Hill Trail and then arrived Fort Custer State Recreation Area.

We didn’t catch any fireworks, but we enjoyed the holiday in our own way; riding the bike trails, kayaking and hanging out at the beach.

Our summer adventures have also included spending time riding the trails around the Triple V, kayaking at Rotary Park, visiting Cantigny and Great America.

Summer break is winding down, but we still have a couple more trips to get in before the kiddos head back to school. I look at these pictures and I wonder “when did these kids get so big?” I am blessed to be their mom and love spending time with them.
